Carrie Underwood Biography
Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, Checotah, Oklahoma, USA. Her family owned a farm there. She was born and raised on a farm. Her father worked at a paper mill and her mother worked at an elementary school. Carrie is the youngest of three sisters. One of them is Shanna, and the other is Stephanie. Music didn't run in Carrie's family but she had started singing at the church at the age of three. After graduating high school, Carrie went to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During her senior year of college, the decided to audition for American Idol. Her dream has always been to sing or to broadcast journalism. Carrie's audition made not only the judges love her, but many people. She kept on singing and then she won American Idol, in the year of 2004. She is known all around the world now and she is very famous. Carrie's first single was called "Inside Your Heaven". Carrie Underwood then became famous for singing country songs. Later, she won a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in the year of 2006. She also won a Grammy for Best Artist in 2006. Later, in the year of 2008, she received an award for two Country Music Association awards for Female Vocalist Of The Year and Album Of The Year. In 2009, Carrie won an award for Best Female Vocalist for her song "Last Name".

Most recently, in July, 2010, Carrie got married to a guy named Mike Fisher. He is a Canadian famous hockey player. He is thirty years old and she is twenty seven. Carrie is very happy with him, and they have been married for a few months now.
